What is an Animal Holistic Health Practitioner (AHHP)
An Animal Holistic Health Practitioner (AHHP) uses complementary and alternative therapies aimed at creating the ultimate health for your animal companion. The holistic approach treats the whole animal, ignites the body's internal healing force and stimulates the body's natural abilities to heal itself.
As with humans, a holistic approach to an animal’s health considers all aspects that support or detract from a patient’s health. This approach uses the animal’s own healing forces and processes to rid your pet of the symptoms. With holistic healing, animals usually experience fewer side effects, less resistance in the body and are generally healthier after treatment.
In both holistic and conventional practices, symptoms are clues that tell us your pet is not healthy in some way. (With the holistic approach, the root cause is addressed.)  If the root cause is not addressed, the symptoms will appear again and again. The holistic approach takes time and patience as the animal’s system must be strengthened, obstacles to cure removed, and the overall systemic balance restored.
An AHHP cooperates with you, your animal companion and your veterinarian to build up and maintain the physical, mental, and emotional health of your pet.
Deb Teubert, AHHP, uses a variety of healing modalities (for both large and small animals) including Chinese medicine, applied kinesiology, or muscle testing, as it is also known, essential oils, acupressure and photonic light therapy.
